Abstract: | Initially issued monthly the Scottish Geographical Magazine became after 1918 a quarterly. The emphasis was on African material. Contributors were: H.M. Stanley, Lord Lugard, Sir Harry Johnston, Sir George Goldie, Emin Pasha. Nyasaland was the subject of many articles. For students of the New Imperialism and the early colonial period of African history the magazine is a rich source of material. This paper gives a list of articles arranged alphabetically by author's name. |
