Abstract:Critique of 'The Horn', a Nigerian student poetry magazine that was begun in January 1958 and continued to appear at varying intervals until the end of the session in May 1964. Description of its origins and major poets who contributed, analysis of its contents, in particular the poetry and three of its commonly recurring themes: alienation, Negritude, and self-rediscovery. An appendix lists the copies of 'The Horn' in the author's possession. Notes.
