Abstract:The object of this study was to assess the potential of cows' milk as a vehicle for the transmission of diarrhoeal disease in infants. An initial survey was conducted to determine the patterns of cows' milk consumption by infants. This was followed by a microbiological study in which the sources of milk contamination were determined and methods investigated for the alleviation of this contamination. Sum., tab.
