Abstract: | Taenicides traditionally used in Ethiopia constitute one of the most important and characteristic branches of its medicine. The majority of these drugs were known throughout much of the East African region, and in some cases even beyond, while one of them, kosso, was exported widely in the Middle East and later Europe. Some half a dozen of the foremost such Ethiopian medicines are discussed in the present article. Notes. |
