Abstract: | Critical analysis of the ideas of Kwame Nkrumah, the ideology, goals and role of his Convention People's Party (CPP) in the Ghanaian independence struggle and thereafter, their mistakes and the reasons underlying their shortcomings. Nkrumeh, through his use of non-revolutionary tactics, non-violent positive action, in Ghana's struggle for independence, ignored the basic essential law of revolution: that the exploiting class never hand over power without a serious struggle. His greatest mistake during his leadership in Ghana was his inability to give clarity to the goal and ideological direction of the CPP. Notes. |
