Abstract:As an addition to the first volume of 'Arabic literature of Africa', this paper presents a compilation of the writings by Ibrahim b. Sidi Mu.hammad b. Mu.hammad Salma (1949-1999), a Sudanese Tijani shaykh from the town of al-Fashir (Darfur, Sudan). Revered by his followers and denounced by his opponents, Shaykh Ibrahim has been one of the most charismatic and most controversial personalities within the Tijaniyya Sufi order during the 20th century. Also included in the paper are two short notes on other Tijani scholars from the same family and their writings, viz. Shaykh Ibrahim's grandfather Shaykh Mu.hammad Salma (d. 1918) and his elder brother Shaykh Mu.hammad al-Ghali (b. c. 1947). Besides a short biographical note on Shaykh Ibrahim, the paper lists the annotated titles of four works by Shaykh Salma, two by Shaykh al-Ghali, and 29 by Shaykh Ibrahim. Bibliogr., notes, ref.
