Abstract:	This article examines the content of a labour dispute in Nigeria against the background of the relevant laws, notably the Trade Disputes Act, Cap. 432 1990 and the Trade Unions Act, Cap. 437 1990. It looks at the legislation defining and regulating trade disputes (parties, purpose, subject matter, manifestations, significance), immunities against prosecution for criminal conspiracy in industrial disputes, and picketing.
