Abstract: | Through the FAO-Netherlands Partnership Programme, the FAO has supported the integration of food security and nutrition into Mozambique's Poverty Reduction Strategy Plan. The compilation of studies in this publication was produced to support the Government in integrating food security and nutrition in the revised Poverty Reduction Strategy Plan. Once this was achieved through the successful adoption of this plan in 2006, the focus of the programme shifted towards ensuring the appropriate implementation of the plan at subnational levels. Contributions: Mainstreaming food and nutrition security into national poverty reduction strategies and district development strategies: experiences from Mozambique (Alejandro Acosta and Frank Mischler); Estimating the potential GDP losses due to hunger in Mozambique (Sérgio Dista and Carlos Vicente); Costing poverty reduction strategies: the case of food security and nutrition interventions in Mozambique (Santiago Goicoechea); A rural household typification model for food security policy purposes in Mozambique (Alejandro Acosta); Integrating food security and nutrition issues in national policies and strategies: learning from country experiences (Maarten Immink and Jean Balié).
