Abstract: | This report is the outcome of a joint venture undertaken by Oxfam/Novib, African Studies Centre Leiden, LASDEL (Niger), MAI (Nigeria) and Billital Maroobé (Niger, Burkina Faso). The research project is linked to Oxfam/Novib's programme 'Knowledge infrastructure with and between counterparts' (KIC). The report has two aims: 1) to outline the set-up of the project and the main actors involved; and 2) to give insight into the situation of Fulbe pastoralists in Niger and Nigeria in relation to the need for knowledge as defined in the KIC network.
