Abstract: | This volume contains peer-reviewed papers presented at the 13th annual conference of the Agricultural Economics Society of Ethiopia, which was held in Addis Abeba on 23-25 September 2010. The theme of the conference was 'Adapting to crises - Ethiopian agriculture in the 21st century'. Issues addressed include the adoption of improved maize (Motuma Tura et al.), determinants of successful adoption of agricultural water management technologies (Fitsum Hagos et al.), determinants of improved wheat seed technology adoption (Hassen Beshir et al.), adoption and impact of conservation agriculture (Wondwossen Tsegaye et al.), drought risk and maize production in southern Africa (Girma T. Kassie et al.), estimating food price risk (Degye Goshu), household vulnerability to climate change (Bedaso Taye), valuation of indigenous sheep traits (Zelalem Gutu et al.), sheep market participation of rural households (Zelalem Gutu et al.), economic impact of climate change on crop production (Meseret Molla Kassahun et al.), and local demand for coffee (Meseret Molla Kassahun and Zewdu Ayalew).
