Abstract: | This issue of 'Agenda' is the result of collaboration in an international interdisciplinary research project involving South Africa and Canada which has the objective of building a platform for girls' voices to be heard in ending gender violence. It addresses the cultures of violence that are prevalent in the day-to-day experiences of women and girls in South Africa. The contributions to the issue offer new ideas and possible strategies for girl-led intervention to address sexual violence based on research findings that arise from sectors where violence is frequently reported, the majority from within education, both schools and institutions of higher learning.
