Abstract:Late nineteenth century, a white explorer, a 'wazungu' or 'aimless wanderer' is lost in the jungle. In the thick rain forest, he is stalked by a black man and encounters a black young woman... Early twenty-first century, the same three actors: a foreign white news correspondent just met a black prostitute in a nightclub. Or a student? They spend the night together but the mysterious girl disappears the day after. The news correspondent and a local informant try to find out what happened to her. A film full of metaphors which depicts the complexities of modern Rwanda and uneasy relationship between contemporary Africa and the West. [Abstract reproduced from dvd-video]
