Abstract: | The author is a Black American Muslim, although not a member of the Nation of Islam, a Black nationalist movement in the United States led by Elijah Muhammed. he believes in the necessity for unity between Islam and Pan- Africanism. He describes the integral role religion has played in the history of Pan-Africanism, and points out that it must continue to play a role in the Pan-African struggle - the struggle by people of African descent for equality, justice, fraternity, and self-determination. |
