Abstract: | A report based on case studies from eight countries written by Third World jounalists. It indicates that, contrary to the popular image, key persons in making community water, sanitation and health projects work, are dedicated professionals rather than unpaid volunteers. The community volunteers emerge very clearly as secondary motivators. Africa is represented by three countries: Ghana, Guinea-Bissau and Malawi. |
