Abstract:This article deals with: the role of the clerk in congolese civil proceedings. it deals with the question of role in civil proceedings depending on who is before, during and after a legal trial. it also provides a succinct illustration of the essential contribution of the court staff in the administration of justice in congolese law through their judicial and extrajudicial tasks such as assistance to the judge during the hearing and the keeping of the trade and credit register in accordance with ohada law. the study also indicates the need to harmonize the texts in this field so as to constitute a framework of legal protection easily identifiable and taking into account the practices and practices with a view to equipping the agents of the registry with knowledge and the technical nature of their office.
