Abstract:In answer to the urgency to address adolescents' and youth's SRHR needs in Burundi, a consortium of CARE, UNFPA, Cordaid and Rutgers is implementing the joint programme 'Menyumenyeshe' (2016-2020). The programme includes three main components: sexuality education, youth friendly services, and an enabling environment. This policy brief summarizes the results of a study into the effectiveness of the sexuality education component. In addition, it provides a list of recommendations to strengthen the implementation and sustainability of the current sexuality education programme in schools in Burundi.
