| Abstract: | This chapter explores queer formations in relation to Islamic morality through the lens of women's soccer in Senegal. Through ethnographic evidence I argue that Senegalese female soccer players challenge gender and sexuality norms prescribed by Islam from within a Sufi framework of resistance. |
